A FEW ANSWERS

Frequently asked questions

Which Chanakya encoding is supported?

The common text-export encoding using characters such as ÖæÚUÌ for भारत. Chanakya font versions and PDF encodings vary. Unsupported characters are preserved; this is not a universal PDF or font decoder.

Why is the output still garbled?

Check that the source really uses Chanakya rather than Kruti Dev or another legacy font. PDF extraction can produce unrelated codes that a character table cannot recover. Test a short known phrase first.

Is a round trip byte-for-byte identical?

No. Multiple legacy spellings can represent the same Hindi text. Export uses a canonical spelling; spacing helper glyphs and aliases may change. Proofread important documents.
